About Us
Our MissionThe mission of the Ida B. Wells High School Booster Club is to support all Ida B. Wells High extracurricular activities, programs and clubs. We provide financial support to sports and clubs at Ida B. Wells through a grant program. Every year we provide more than $40,000 in grants, covering items such as equipment, player scholarships, camps, trainers, rental fees, transportation, speakers, etc. We provide funding beyond what is provided by the school or district budget.
What We DoThe Booster Club earns its funds through concession and apparel sales as well as our annual Christmas tree sale. All of these take many volunteers in order to raise the funds needed. The Booster Club also promotes school spirit, athletic excellence, teamwork and school engagement in all we do.
Ida B. Wells Is a 501(c)(3) OrganizationIBW Booster Club is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. Your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax adviser with questions about charitable contributions.
