Wells Vision 2030

Construction is temporary. Our community is forever.

Wells Vision 2030 is a committee supported by the Booster Club and PTA, focused on the morale, connection, and well-being of our students, families, and staff during the construction phase. Our goal is simple: make sure every student and family feels seen, supported, and celebrated every step of the way.

Why Wells Vision 2030?

From January 2027 through Fall 2030 and beyond, Ida B. Wells High School will be under construction.

During that time, our students may face:

No home games
No fields for sports and gatherings
Disrupted routines & spaces
Construction that limits activities and opportunities
The challenge of staying connected in a changing environment

We can't control the construction, but we can control how we show up for our kids.

What We Plan To Do

We will:

Recognize and celebrate students often
Create positive experiences and traditions
Offer spaces for parents to connect, support, and mentor
Provide encouragement through challenges and change
Advocate for student needs and well-being
Keep school spirit strong — wherever we are

Our vision: A strong, connected Wells community. Today and in 2030.
